REMOVE BANDAGE:
Leave your bandage on for no longer than 3 hours.  

1.CLEAN YOUR TATTOO:

• ALWAYS wash your hands before and touching or cleaning your tattoo.
• Rinse your tattoo thoroughly with warm water and a non-fragranced  anti-bacterial soap 

                          -(Dial Liquid Gold or Dove Sensitive Skin Preferred)

                       AVOID- Fragranced Soaps

• Gently pat dry with a clean paper towel.

                        AVOID -washcloths, towels and sponges.

2. APPLY PRODUCT:

• Apply a THIN LAYER of tattoo aftercare product. (Hustle Butter, or Lubriderm Fragrance Free Lotion Preferred)
• Consult with your artist before using a product that was not originally recommended.
• AVOID- Fragranced lotions, Neosporin and other petroleum based products .
  

3. REPEAT: 

• Over the next  2 weeks repeat this process by rinsing your tattoo 3 times DAILY.
• Apply THIN LAYERS of tattoo aftercare product throughout the day. 
•  AVOID- Applying too much or too little tattoo aftercare product.
  

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Minor swelling, soreness or irritation may be present for the first few days.
• Excess ink may come off onto your clothing, or bedding. 
• If taken care of properly the tattoo should not scab.
• If scabbing does occur allow scabs to fall off naturally.
• Peeling and flaking (like a sunburn) after a few days is normal.
• Itchiness is normal, DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH your tattoo.
  

AVOID:
   

• WEARING TIGHT CLOTHING 
• WEARING JEWELRY NEAR YOUR TATTOO
• HOT TUBS, SWIMMING POOLS & OCEANS
• TANNING BEDS & SUN  on or near the tattooed area
• GYM EQUIPMENT, DO NOT allow your tattoo to touch any gym equipment  be sure to sanitize the any equipment before and after use.
• DO NOT LET ANYONE TOUCH YOUR TATTOO
• ​KEEP PETS & ANIMALS AWAY FROM THE YOUR TATTOO.  
  

AFTER YOUR TATTOO IS HEALED:
Each individual’s body heals differently, on average it takes 15 to 30 days for a tattoo to be completely healed.
Protect your tattoo by applying sunblock any time your tattoo will be exposed to sunlight (Neutroagena UltraSheer Broad Spectrum SPF 100+ Preferred)

ABOUT SANIDERM: 

Saniderm is a medical-grade, breathable, waterproof tattoo bandage. Saniderm is engineered to be permeable to gasses, like oxygen. Saniderm bandages alleviate many of the pitfalls that come with other tattoo healing methods. Saniderm drastically reduces the risk of contaminants entering the wound site of a fresh tattoo. Wearing Saniderm protects the area from unwanted shear/friction and allows the body to keep itself moisturized. Plus, it conveniently eliminates sessions of washing and applying aftercare to a new tattoo. The result is a tattoo healing experience that is safer, smoother, and more efficient.

• Keep the first applied bandage on for anywhere from 3-24 hours, depending on how much the tattoo is weeping. Replace within 24 hours. 
• It is normal if there is some plasma/blood/lymph fluid buildup under the bandage during this period, but don’t leave it longer than 24 hours.

SANIDERM REMOVAL:

• Remove Saniderm when in the shower, running  warm water over the Saniderm bandage  will help loosen the adhesive and relax the skin, making the removal much more comfortable. Dry removal of Saniderm may cause discomfort and trauma to the skin.

1. Wash your hands, then find an edge of the Saniderm bandage. Gently pull back the edge of the bandage and roll it over itself in the direction of hair growth. 
2. Discard the used bandage and wash the tattoo with a  fragrance-free soap, (Dial Liquid Gold or Dove Sensitive Skin Preferred)
3. Allow the tattoo to air dry or pat dry with a clean paper towel.
4.  Apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare product or fragrance free moisturizer to your tattoo (Hustle Butter,  or Lubriderm Fragrance Free Lotion Preferred)

                    -  If you plan on applying another Saniderm bandage, SKIP step 4.

AVOID: 

• WEARING TIGHT CLOTHING 
• WEARING JEWELRY NEAR YOUR TATTOO
• HOT TUBS, SWIMMING POOLS & OCEANS
• TANNING BEDS & SUN  on or near the tattooed area
• GYM EQUIPMENT, DO NOT allow your tattoo to touch any gym equipment  be sure to sanitize the any equipment before and after use.
• DO NOT LET ANYONE TOUCH YOUR TATTOO
• ​KEEP PETS & ANIMALS AWAY FROM THE YOUR TATTOO.   

AFTER YOUR TATTOO IS HEALED:
